Solarventi® FOR MULTI STOREY HOUSES
The Homeowners starting point for mounting a SolarVenti® solar air collector on multiple-story house may be a poor indoor climate - or perhaps just a desire without operating costs to make an acceptable indoor climate in the house even better.
Also in multi-storey villas the house residents in a relatively short time will experience house's air significantly fresher to breathe and be in after installing a SolarVenti®.
And after a full season with a solar air collector in the right size, the overall level of moisture in the walls, building and equipment have decreased noticeably.
When SolarVenti® on a wall or roof will be used over several floors, will it often be necessary to mount an extra fan at the bottom of the house, to ensure the proper ventilation air flow into and out of the house.
The extra fan is mounted on a suitable wall for example, in the basement - and driven by an extra solar cell inside the SolarVenti® panel.
When the sun shines just a bit on the panel of the solar air collector on the sunny side of the More Stories Home or on the sun faced roof, the air very quickly becomes very hot inside the panel. At the same time the panels solar powered fan begins to blow the hot and dry ventilation air into the house.
The air - which is blown into the house - pushes the humid and old air out through leaks or opening outlet from the vent hood.
Be aware that you close the chimney flue if the flue sits near the SolarVenti's injection air vent.
When the solar air collector must make an effect in several rooms with doors between each room, the doors must remain open - or there have to be fitted standard general fresh air vents between the rooms. Usually you will let the the hot, dry ventilating air from the SolarVenti® move downwardly within the house - and for instance flow down to the next floor through an open stairwell. It is the location of the opening ventilation outlets that determine how the ventilation air moves through the house.
Pay attention to where the different house vents are positioned in relation to the ventilation airflow.
